Permission is hereby granted, free of charge, to any person obtaining a copy of this software and associated documentation files (the “Software”), to use the Software strictly for personal, educational, or internal purposes, subject to the terms below.

1. Permitted Use

You may view, download, and locally host or deploy the Software for personal, educational, or internal use only. Such use must remain private and non-commercial in nature.

2. Prohibited Use

Without prior written permission from the Licensor, you may NOT:

  • Host, deploy, or make the Software available on any publicly accessible domain
  • Use the Software, in whole or in part, for any commercial purpose, including SaaS platforms, paid services, consulting, resale, or monetary distribution
  • Modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, or create derivative works based on the Software
  • Redistribute, sublicense, or share the Software, in whole or in part, in any format or medium

3. Public Hosting Exception

If written permission is granted by the Licensor for public hosting or redistribution, any hosted or redistributed version must display clear, visible attribution in the website header stating: “Fork of Materio”.

4. Ownership and Intellectual Property

The Software and all associated rights, titles, and interests remain the exclusive intellectual property of the Licensor. This license grants limited usage rights only and does not transfer ownership or any intellectual property rights to you.

5. Source Availability

This is a source-available license and does not constitute an open source license. Proprietary components, private APIs, infrastructure logic, and other internal elements may remain undisclosed and are not subject to public source access. The Licensor retains sole discretion over which components, if any, are made publicly available.

6. Content and Media

All written materials associated with Materio, including documentation, articles, posts, and other textual content (including sections such as InsightRoom and Docs), are the intellectual property of the Licensor and are protected under applicable copyright law.

All visual assets, including cover images, illustrations, graphics, layouts, and design elements, are likewise the exclusive intellectual property of the Licensor.

These materials are provided for personal viewing only. You may NOT copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from any written or visual content from Materio, in whole or in part, without prior written permission from the Licensor.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Articles, blog posts, and documentation content
  • Section structures and curated content collections
  • Visual compositions, cover images, and creative assets

Use of similar ideas or themes is permitted. Direct or substantially similar reproduction of content, structure, or presentation is not.

7. MCP and Associated Systems

All components, concepts, implementations, and associated materials related to Materio’s MCP integration, including any frameworks, pipelines, or system designs developed under Materio, are part of the Software and subject to this license. Replicating, adapting, or redistributing MCP-related implementations derived from Materio without authorization is prohibited.

8. Termination

This license terminates automatically upon any breach of its terms. Upon termination, you must immediately cease all use of the Software and permanently delete all copies in your possession or control.

9. Disclaimer of Warranty

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. THE LICENSOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, OR OTHER LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE.
